4 Movies Gamblers Will Love

If you like to use betting sites and have a bit of a gamble in your spare time, you’ll probably know your way around a poker table and a roulette wheel. For some people, gambling is simply a way of hopefully earning a bit of extra spending money. For others however, gambling is a passion. Some people even earn a living from it.

If you’re a fan of gambling and betting sites however, you might enjoy the odd gambling movie or two. For those evenings when you can’t decide which movie to stream online, here are 4 movies gamblers will simply adore.

Casino Royale

Casino Royale was Danial Craig’s first time playing womanising super spy James Bond, and he knocked it out of the park. Craig was suave, he was sophisticated, he was classy, and brought a ruggedness to James Bond that hadn’t been seen since the days of Sean Connery. Casino Royale sees Bond entering a high stakes game of poker against the scintillating Mads Mikkelsen, who plays infamous baddie Le Chiffre. The movie is rich in action, yet it’s the suspenseful scenes at the poker table that really captivate the audience. If you’re debating on a game of poker on various betting sites, Casino Royale will certainly put you in the mood for a game.

Next up we have Casino. This is a Martin Scorsese movie, so you can bet your bottom dollar that the language is colourful and the violence is rife. This is one of the most popular gambling movies of all time. Starring Robert DeNiro, Joe Pesci, and Sharon Stone, Casino is based on true events and tells the tale of a bookie, played be DeNiro, that is forced to run a Vegas casino for his mobster bosses. The film tells the tale of mob-run casinos, and certainly doesn’t pull any punches when depicting what may happen should an individual be foolish enough to attempt to cheat at a mobster-run casino.

Ocean’s 11

Ocean’s 11 sees Danny Ocean, played brilliantly by George Clooney, instantly violating his parole upon his release from jail. He travels to Vegas and enlists the help of his criminal, yet lovable friends, to rob not one, not two, but three of the most popular and famous casinos in all of Vegas – The Mirage, The Bellagio, and the MGM Grand. Best of all is that he intends to rob them all at the precise same time. Why these casinos? Because they’re being run by his long-time nemesis Terry Benedict of course. Boasting an all-star cast including: George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Andy Garcia, Matt Damon, Bernie Mac, Julia Roberts, and many more, this is an incredibly fun casino heist movie that’s perfect for a cold and rainy Sunday afternoon.

Hard Eight

Hard Eight tells the tale of a down and out gambler, played by a young John C. Reilly, who has lost everything whilst gambling in Vegas. He is befriended by Phillip Baker Hall, who plays a former pro gambler who takes the young kid under his wing and teaches him how to make crack the world of gambling in Vegas. There’s sex, lies, murder, deception, and twists and turns and this film really is a great deal of fun. For a less-dramatic gambling experience however, you’ll probably wish to stick with the betting sites.
