• Spanish Lotto

Step by step guide to betting on the Nifty Fifty lotto

For this example we will be using Betfred for the walkthrough.

Step #1: Register your new betting account on Betfred

When you first reach the Betfred homepage you will need to navigate to the top right hand corner of the screen to find the “Register” button in bright green. Once clicked, this will open a registration form for you to start filling out your personal details.

The first page of the account registration form asks you to create a Username and password. These will be used to identify your account from other users and you will need to remember this information so you can log into your account going forward.

Always try to create a password that is memorable to you, but hard for others to guess. This is the safest way to keep your account secure.

Below you will see the next page of the form. Here you will be expected to input your:

• First name
• Last name
• Date of Birth

You need to make sure all of these details match that of your legal identification documents as these are sometimes verified before being able to withdraw. If your details on the account do not match those of your ID, then you risk having your account blocked and shut down.

The next page you see requires you to type in your email address and telephone number. These can be used as backup features to help you access your account and notify you of anything you may need to know in future. Any new promotions Betfred has are likely to be emailed to you so you don’t miss out. Lastly on this page you will need to select a security question from the drop down list and type an answer for it. This is just one more step to keep your account secure.

Once those two pages are completed, there are just two more pages to go before finishing your application. The first of these pages requires you to enter your legal residential address (again, make sure it matches your ID) and the second page wants you to choose a currency. Being based in the UK, it will auto-populate the box to GBP – Great British Pound.

The final section of the registration form will ask you to select your contact preferences and confirm terms and conditions.

Once you are happy with everything, you can finally click the green “register” button which will take you to the homepage. You will now be logged in to your brand new Betfred account.

Step #2: Depositing your funds into your new account

From the homepage on Betfred, you will need to go to the top right hand side of the screen and click the green “deposit” button. This will then open a new screen allowing you to select the most appropriate payment method for you.

Once you have found the deposit method that is best for you, simply click on the “deposit” button on the same line to open the next window.

Here you will have the chance to type in the exact monetary value into the deposit type box. The minimum deposit is £5 so you can enter £5 or more at this stage.

Once you have selected the amount, you can click the button that appears underneath (I used a debit card visa for example). This will bring you to your final page of the deposit screen.

Here is where you will need to input your card details. This is an important step and you need to make sure everything is typed in accurately otherwise you run the risk of your payment being rejected due to having the wrong details.

Step #3: Find the Betfred Nifty Fifty lotto

In the screenshot above you can see the Betfred lottery page. You can find this page after depositing your funds and returning to the homepage. From there you will need to navigate to the dark blue bar header at the top of the screen and find the word “lotto”. Click this button and you will then see this image above.

As you can see, the Nifty Fifty Lotto can be found in the middle of the page. If you click the middle of the three in the Nifty Fifty Section you will see a new page which gives you different avenues of buying a ticket for the lottery draws.

Step #4: Choose your numbers for the Betfred Nifty Fifty Lotto

Once you are inside the Nifty Fifty lotto page, you will be met with number 1 – 50 in front of you. These are the lottery numbers that you are supposed to choose from when making your lotto bet slip.

Building the bet slip is nice and simple, all you need to do is click each number you would like to use. Remember, you can only select each number one time. If you are doing a single bet, then you can choose up to 6 numbers. If instead you wish to do multiple bets then you can actually select up to 11 in one go.

As you can see, as you select each number they are highlighted on the screen to make it very clear what ones you have selected. Double check you are happy with your numbers selection before finalising your bet slip as once it has been confirmed you will be unable to make any changes.

In the example, I only wanted to do a single bet so I only chose the 6 numbers below instead of the full 11 that the Betfred site allows you to select.

Step #5: Choosing which draw to participate in on Betfred Nifty Fifty Lotto

So you’ve selected your numbers of choice, but when do you want your numbers to be played? The next page will look like this image above. You will be met with a long list (you can scroll down to see all of the dates and times available) of dates and times of the next available draws of the Nifty Fifty Betfred Lotto.

In my example I just wanted those numbers to be played in two draws (highlighted in blue above) but you can choose as many or as few as you like.

Remember, if you want to do multiple draws but each with different numbers, then you will need to “add a new line” to create a new selection of numbers before you get to the draw selection page.

Step #6: Placing the wager on your Nifty Fifty bet slip

So, you’ve got all your number and the draw dates and times selected. Now is the time to actually choose the wager you’d like to place. As you can see above, the bet slip is actually empty as the cash value of your wager and returns is set to £0.00.

If you know how much you wish to bet, then you can input your cash amount into as many, or as little of the boxes as possible. If you scroll down, then you will see more than just the two options shown in the image below. You can do a usual singles bet by putting your cash value in the far-left box or if you’re feeling extra lucky you can put your money into the doubles x15 box in the middle. As you can see, if you put your bet into the middle box it will be a significantly higher stake as it is 15x your actual stake of £1 in this example.

Depending on how much money you are willing to risk or spend, and how lucky you feel about your number selections, depends on what you input into this bet slip. This is your bet slip so you can wager whatever you can afford to lose and are comfortable losing if your bets are unsuccessful.

Step #7: Checking the Betfred Nifty Fifty results

Once your wager has been placed, all that’s left to do is wait until after the draw has ended. If you head back to the main lotto page, you’ll see those 3 links again. One which took us to the number selection page, and another that shows results.

The results will only appear after a draw and will only show you results of the draws you have actually entered into. As you can see in the image above, since the draw I wagered on hasn’t taken place yet and it is the only draw I have entered so far, there are no results on show yet.

If you are correct with guessing some numbers then you will receive your winnings into your e-wallet automatically. If you are unsuccessful in your predictions then you will have no change to your account.

Multiple ways to play the Nifty Fifty Lotto

So that punters don’t find the lottery game stale, you can play the Nifty Fifty in two different ways. The first of which is the numbers way and the second is betting with groups.

• Groups bets

The Nifty Fifty holds five drawings each and every day, with the exception of Christmas Day, when there is only one draw. These occur at 10:30am, 11:30am, 12:30pm, 1:30pm, and 6:30pm respectively throughout the day. All these times listed are in the UK/British timezone.
