Detailed review
Are you in the market for a new betting site, where you can find something new and exciting on offer? If so, then you need to check out BritainBet. This betting site was launched just this year, and so is going up against some big names. Is it the best place to go for betting? Let’s find out.
Pros:
- Site design will be familiar if you’ve used ProgressPlay sites
- Lots of promos on offer
- VIP scheme for loyal members
- Good customer support
Cons:
- Very small sports market selection
- Very basic website style
- Transaction fees on withdrawals
Sporting Markets Available
The first thing you need to know is, what kind of sports can you bet on here? BritainBet needs to have enough sports to hold everyone’s interest, and so you want to see a good range. What’s on offer?
There doesn’t seem to be a wide range of sports here, at least as far as we can see. The site does make it hard for you to see what’s available and what you can bet on. On the home page, you’re going to find football, ice hockey, rugby, basketball, cricket, and League Of Legends.
Now, most sports betters are going to be looking for football markets, and they do seem to be quite decent here. The above list does cover most of the most popular sports that people like to bet on too, so you won’t be missing out here if you’re into cricket or basketball.
As a British site though, it’s interesting to see that they don’t have any horse or greyhound racing markets for you. That’s something you’ll see on most sites, as they’re so popular. There’s also lots of other top sports missing, such as golf.
It’s good to see there is some eSports representation here, with markets in League Of Legends. However, it’s a very small market when you consider that other sites have a good mix of games, such as CoD and CounterStrike. If you’re looking for them here, you’re going to be disappointed.
Also, you’re not going to see any extra markets here, such as politics or special events like the Olympics. Keep that in mind when you’re considering this site.
The selection of sports here is pretty low, and it’s not an encouraging start. You do need to remember that the site has only just been launched, and so they’re focusing their efforts on some popular sports first. We do hope they add more in the future, as it would be a shame if they didn’t expand their selections.
Betting Odds And Offers
If you’re going to try signing up with BritainBet, you need to know that you’re getting the best odds possible. When you make a bet, what kind of odds will you get?
They are quite comparable to some of the bigger names out there, especially in football. If that’s your sport of choice, then you’re in good hands here. It does still pay to check a few sites out before you make a bet though, to ensure you’re getting the best odds possible.
If you’re looking for betting features, right now the site is very basic. You’re not going to find enhanced odds or bet boosts, something that a lot of players want to find in their betting sites. That’s not going to help you if you want to get the most out of your bets.
In Play Betting
BritainBet do have an in play betting section, so you can place bets on games as they’re happening. This makes sense, as many betting sites offer this to you as it’s so popular. Here though, you’ll see the section is rather basic, and confusingly laid out. For example, some of the top games happening right now can be stuck further down the list, rather than being up the top.
You’ll also see there isn’t any live streaming offered here, too. While that’s disappointing, it makes sense as it’s only something you can get on a minority of betting sites out there.
Site Design
Let’s consider the design of the BritainBet site. You want a betting site that’s very clearly laid out, where you can find what you need quickly and get betting on. As a brand new site, have they done anything new with the formula?
If you’ve ever seen a ProgressPlay site before, then this site is going to feel very familiar to you. They’re the company behind BritainBet, and they’ve used the same white label design that’s behind a lot of their sites. Really, just the colours are different here.
The layout is somewhat different to other betting sites out there, that’s for certain. You’ll find all their sportsbook offerings under the ‘sports’ tab, as they have a good range of casino games too. It’s pretty basic here, with the page being taken up with all the upcoming games that are happening in each sport. You won’t find a list of sports or the betting slip on the side, like you would with most other betting sites.
The other thing you won’t find here is a mobile app. That does make sense, as the site is so new they won’t have that in place yet. If you want to place bets on the go, you can do it through the mobile browser version of the site. This is well designed, and you’ll be able to do everything you need to through it.
While the site is basic and not laid out in the best way, it does have everything you need to start placing bets. It’s also very simple to use through the mobile browser version, should you ever need to. If you’ve ever used a ProgressPlay site before, you’ll know what to do here.
Welcome Offer
One of the biggest things anyone will consider, when looking for a new betting site, is the welcome offer. It’s something you’ll find on the vast majority of betting sites, and it’s got to be good in order to draw you in. As a new member at BritainBet, are you going to get something good here?
When you sign up, you can get a €10 bonus as a new member. To get the bonus, you’ll need to deposit at least €10 into your new account, and you’ll be credited a bonus. Once you have it, you’ll need to wager it 50 times before you can withdraw your cash. There are a few other terms and conditions too, so you’ll need to check them on the site before you sign up.
On the face of it the bonus looks good, but you do need to wager it a lot before you can withdraw your winnings. It’s also not the biggest bonus out there, so if you’re looking for a really weighty deal, you’re not going to find it here.
Promotions
On top of a welcome offer, you need to look into the promotions that BritainBet has too. What kind of things can they offer you, and are they worth signing up for?
On their promotions page you will see that there’s plenty of promotions on offer. There’s the welcome offer, as described above, and then lots of other deals that reward you for remaining a member here.
It is important to point out that most promos are designed for casino players rather than sports betters. That doesn’t mean that there’s nothing here for you, though. There’s some unique offers here, such as the site leaderboards. If you place €50 in qualifying wagers and top the leaderboard, then you have the chance to win even more in cash prizes.
On top of that, there’s a rewards program in place for members too. You can become a VIP on the site, and get exclusive offers and deals. The more you play here, the more VIP points you’ll get. The higher you are, the better deals you’ll get. At the highest levels, you can get personalised gifts, anniversary bonuses, birthday presents, and more.
Banking Options
If you’re going to sign up with BritainBet, then you need to understand how their banking works. Is it easy to use, and can you get what you need here?
If you want to make a deposit or withdrawal, there’s plenty of ways to do so. Firstly, you can use a bank card such as a Visa or MasterCard. You can also use eWallets like PayPal, Trustly, MuchBetter, ecoPayz, Paysafecard, and more. You can even pay by phone, if that works for you.
Having PayPal here is great, as you’ll find it very quick and easy to sign up once you’re ready to start betting. It would be good to see other popular eWallets too, such as Apple Pay.
As seen in the welcome offer, the minimum deposit is €20, and they should reach your account instantly, ready for play. As for withdrawals, you’ll be waiting up to 10 days for your cash, which does take a while when other sites can do it in 5. Plus, you’ll pay €2.50 withdrawal fee per transaction.
Deposits are very simple here, and it’s easy to get started. However, it’s the withdrawals that let the side down here. Otherwise though, the system is easy to use and work with.
Customer Support
Sometimes you’re going to need some help when you’re using betting sites like BritainBet. If you do need a hand here, what kind of help can you expect to get?
If you are looking for help, the first place to go is the FAQ. The link for this can be found at the bottom of the page, wherever you are on the site. This is a pretty comprehensive guide to the site, and you’ll usually be able to find the answers to what you need here. It’s easy to search through, and you’ll get answers and be on your way in no time.
If you still can’t find what you need, that’s not a problem. You can get in touch with the support team and find what you’re looking for. There are two different ways of talking to the team. You can send them an email, and they’ll get in touch as soon as they can. That works well if your query isn’t time sensitive. If you do need an answer more quickly, then you can talk to the team through live chat. There’s a link for this right on the top of the page, so you’ll be talking to someone very quickly.
The customer support is good here, the team are dedicated to helping you out and getting you back to the games as soon as possible. If you do ever need help, you’re well covered here.
Conclusion
After seeing all this, is BritainBet the site you want to try when you want to place bets?
Right now, the site is very new, and it shows. There are many things that appear to be missing, such as many sports markets, and offers such as enhanced odds. Because of this, it’s not going to be the right site for many punters out there.
That doesn’t mean that it’s a bad site, though. There’s plenty of things on the site that make it a great place to bet. If you’re into the sports they do offer, such as football, then there’s some really good market depth. There’s also some pretty decent odds here, too.
We also really like the VIP scheme that’s on offer here. The more you bet here, the more points you’ll get. When you have more points, you’ll get more bonuses too, such as VIP customer support and extra gifts. It makes it worth sticking with them.
If you’re into casinos, then you’ll want to check BritainBet out too. You can play a wide variety of games, so there’s always something to see and do here.
