If a bet isn’t going quite to plan, with one selection letting your entire bet down, there’s nothing more satisfying than still securing some profits. The cash out feature you’ll find on many UK betting sites lets you do exactly that, which is probably why it’s so popular. We’ve taken a deep dive into the best cash out betting sites currently on the UK market, investigating many different aspects of a bookie’s offering to make sure we’re only recommended the cream of the crop. Here’s how we do it.
Cash out options | There are a few cash out options that we look for, including full cash out, partial, and auto. A partial cash out means that you can keep some of your stake in the live bet then use the cashed out funds to place another one, so you don’t have to deposit. Auto cash out is a more advanced feature that allows you to set predefined conditions for cashing out your bet automatically – even if you’re not online at the time. Then full cash out is the straightforward and most common: settle your entire bet before the event has finished to receive a portion of the winnings. All of these are reviewed in our process. |
Speed and availability | Sometimes cash out options are suspended for various reasons, but the feature isn’t much use if this is the norm not the exception. We look at UK betting sites that offer consistently available cash out features, which are quick and easy to make use of. |
Transparency and fairness | Punters should be able to view the full terms and conditions that cash out features follow, so that they can fully understand how it works. UK betting sites that provide fair and reasonable conditions for cash out will be looked upon favourably. |
The sign-up process | The signup process for cash out betting sites should be easy and straightforward. When we recommend new sites to punters, we expect their new customer journey to be smooth and seamless. Of course, punters will need to provide some basic information and details, but this shouldn’t take too long and it should be intuitive. We recommend UK betting sites that offer a frictionless joining process. |
Markets and events | It goes without saying that bettors prefer sites that cover a wide range of markets, sports, and events, including the main ones like football, cricket, and horse racing. Betting sites that offer cash out on a wide variety of these markets, as well as the events within those markets, will do well. For example, when it comes to football, we would expect cash out on events like full time results, correct score, and first goal-scorer, while horse racing bets like Trixie, Lucky 15 and general accas should be covered. |
Quality of odds | Bookies need to make their odds competitive generally, but particularly with cash out so punters see it as a worthwhile feature. If a bettor feels like the lion share of their bet is going to come in, with one potentially letting them down, but the odds aren’t really favourable to cash out, they might just keep their stake live – if they win, great. If they lose, well that’s not so great. We investigate sites who offer competitive odds. |
Payment options | UK betting sites should make the deposit and withdrawal process intuitive and easy, catering for as many payment options as possible, including the commonly used debit card and credit card, then e-wallet solutions like Apple Pay and Google Pay, as well as other payment solutions like PayPal or Skrill. Withdrawing any winnings should be quick and easy too. |
Mobile betting | Betting on the bus? Yes please. The mobile app experience on smartphone, tablet, or other mobile devices needs to be just as good if not better than the main site. That’s because punters opt more and more for the convenience of a mobile device nowadays. We expect to see cash out offered on mobile, as well as all the markets, events and features you’d expect to see on the main site. |
Bonuses and promotions | Bonuses and promotions are the tried and tested way to get new customers on board, and keep existing customers playing. The value of the offer doesn’t just come down to the monetary amount on the table, but the terms and conditions too. They should be fair, achievable, and cash out should be available when using them. |
Kwiff has a great feature known as the supercharged cash out betting and it’s why they are on our list. They have a fun in-play betting feature as well as a very reliable phone app and desktop site to use. They’ve got some of the highest odds for many markets even though they currently only have a few payment methods available to use. Their collection of betting markets is fairly limited and they seem to be missing a few popular sports, but the ones they do have are covered extremely well.
Kwiff offer a ‘supercharged’ cash out
Bet 365 are one of the world’s largest betting brands and they always make sure to cover as many events as they can across a huge range of sports. They have a generous introductory offer for all new users of the site. Whether you’re into betting on small or major events, they will have you covered. They are known for slowing down and limiting the accounts of players who cheat or win too often as this is deemed to be suspicious. Not only that, but if you happen to be travelling overseas while trying to access your betting account, it is highly likely that you will be refused access due to their strict regional restrictions.
bet365 offer the best in-app cash outs
Parimatch is another site to add to our cash out betting list due to their early cash out feature available to bettors. They have a good live streaming platform for those who want to watch the games as they take place as well as a reliable in-play feature to use. They might be missing a few key sports but they make sure to cover both large and small events in the sports they do have. Where they lack in promotions they make up for with their early cash out on football.

Bet Victor is another one of our betting sites with cash out abilities and they sometimes focus it just on horse racing. They have a lot of banking options to choose from and they have made sure their betting mobile app is free for download. They unfortunately have a habit of closing down inactive accounts so you should make sure to continue to use it and if you have an issue their customer support is on the slow side.
BetVictor offer racing cash outs
Ladbrokes are another brand with a strong reputation in the betting world and they also offer a cash out feature. As another major brand you can rest assured you will receive a welcome bonus for joining them as well as receive regular reload offers as a loyal punter. They have restricted their site in many places worldwide but for those that can access the site you’ll have access to many markets and betting industries while with them.
Using Cash out at Ladbrokes
Coral is another top option for your betting needs due to their reputation in the market. They even have a cash out betting tool if you want to get your money before an event has concluded. They have a terrific mobile app for bettors who wish to place wagers while they’re on the go as well as a reliable live betting platform. They have been one of the best brands in the country for a while now and they provide welcome offers for their customers – even if they’re not the most exciting value in the market.
Coral offer cash out & partial cash out
You’d have a terrific experience using their website since they have a great reputation. They even have customer care representatives on hand to assist customers around-the-clock. They allow bettors to take advantage of their early pay out function. Since you’re looking for cash out betting sites you can certainly take advantage of the early cash out feature on Unibet too. They also have live betting and in-play wagers being made on their platform which adds more excitement for the punters who enjoy betting in this way. It’s a great way to watch the events unfold and take part in the competition from a distance.
Cashing out BoyleSports
Unibet is another on our list of betting sites with a cash out feature and it works well for those bettors who want to release their bet money before the end of the event. They have multiple markets to place wagers on and they hold promotions and offers year round for each of their customers who remain loyal. They sometimes happen to restrict players from certain countries. If you have any issues the customer service and support team will be able to help you even if it’s a little slower than expected. They have enticing odds and lots of opportunities to place wagers on your favourite sporting events.
Choosing when to cash-out your bet
Since William Hill has had a lot of popularity in the UK betting community for a long time, they have tried and tested a wide variety of sporting events and offers. This includes their cash out feature that lets punters claim money on their bet before the final outcome has been reached. They don’t have a reputation for offering huge bonuses, but they do provide both new and returning customers with a number of promos and incentives to keep them coming back. They have very competitive odds as well as a high reputation.
William Hill’s Cash Out
888 Sport is another bookmaker you should consider when looking for a betting site for cash out offers. They offer attractive odds for the majority of the events and betting markets they cover, along with a very user-friendly site design and mobile app. They do, like several rivals, have a propensity to cut the limits for players who win too many bets, so if you are particularly successful, beware. If you are wanting to cash out one of your active bets before the end of the game you can do so by using the feature on 888 Sport which allows you to do exactly that.
Cash out at 888sport
Before the cash out option came along, betting was a simple win-lose equation. Either your bet came good and you won, or you lost your stake. But with cash out, there are more options than simple win-lose betting.
So what exactly is a cash out bet, how do you cash out on a bet, and what are the best sites for cash out betting markets? We’re going to take a look at all of that, and more, in this article on cash out betting sites.
With a cash out option, bettors have more choices to take a portion, or all, of their winnings before the end of the tournament, fixture, or race. Cashing out your bets may be advantageous for one of two reasons; to lock in winnings or to limit losses.
Say you’ve placed a bet on the race favourite for Ascot, but come race day they’re not in great form and in the first furlong they’ve fallen way short of the pace. It’s looking like you’re going to lose your bet if you stick it out until the end of the race, so you can cash out your bet to get a portion of your money back.
This is particularly advantageous if you’re placing a larger bet and do not want to completely empty your pockets.
Alternatively, if you’re betting on Norwich City to win against Manchester United at Old Trafford – an unlikely prospect – but they go 1-0 up in the first half, you may want to cash out your winnings before Man United likely pull it back for a victory in the second half.
There are lots of situations where cashing out may be advantageous or not, so we’ve compiled a quick run down of the pros and cons of cashing out.
Pros | Cons |
Protect your winnings in an uncertain event | You could win more if the end result remains the same as the moment you cashed out. |
Limit loses from an unpredictable result/unexpected injury | Although you might not lose all of your stake, you will still lose some money |
Lock in your winnings early into the game if you are on edge about the result | Limits your potential winnings if you wait until the end |
Ultimately, choosing whether or not to cash out a bet is a gamble in itself, particularly in instances where you stand to make more money if you hold out until the end of play. But it certainly does provide a safety net in circumstances where you could be losing money, and for that reason we love this feature.
There are generally three cash out options available once you have placed your bet, provisioning the bet you have placed has the option to cashout.
Full Cash Out
This is the traditional cash out option provided by bookies, and allows the bettor to settle for a smaller portion of winnings. Different bookies will offer different options on getting your original stake back, so check your betting site’s rules on cash out to make sure you fully understand their terms regarding cash out betting.
Partial Cash Out
This is an innovative form of cashout that allows the punter to receive a portion of their winnings, whilst leaving the remaining portion of the bet active to potentially win more later. Bookmakers will often allow you to choose the portion of your bet that you want to cashout, and the portion that you wish to keep in play.
Auto Cash Out
This is an automated version of a cash out that allows the bettor to place a predetermined price point at which the bet will automatically cash out. This allows the bettor to leave their bet in play without constantly watching it, knowing that they can lock in their winnings automatically.
Most bookmakers offer the ability to cash out, and the feature has become incredibly popular. However, you should note that not all betting markets will allow you to cash out, so you should never place a bet assuming that you will be given the option to cash out.
These are some of the most popular sports and markets where cash out is an option for you.
Football
Football is one of the most popular sports to bet on, and as such has a huge number of markets and plenty of options to cashout. Due to the high speed nature of play and the likelihood of goals coming in the closing minutes of play, cashing out on football bets can help avoid disappointment for many.
You can expect to see cashout options for end results, 1st and second half results, bets on correct score and more. In a live game, we’ve seen cash out options for over 30 different football markets for a single game!
Tennis
Tennis is a great sport to bet on due to the 1 on 1 nature of it, and the ability for watchers to judge the individual players energy and mental state in the game. As the state of play can quickly change in a game of tennis, the cashout option is hugely beneficial for betting on the match result, number of games played in a set, or set results.
Cricket
Cricket is as much a psychological game as it is a game of skill, and losing a star bowler early on can quickly diminish team morale in a game that may last up to five days. If you’re betting on cricket you should definitely consider which bets you will be able to cash out on, if you need to limit your losses.
Horse Racing
In horse racing there can be a lot of external factors at play that can be hard to place odds on, and odds are typically set on track record and season performance so far. With adverse weather, hurdles, jockeys, and other horses dictating the outcome of a race, a bookies favourite can quickly lose touch with the front of the race, so cashing out can be very beneficial to limit your losses.
Other Markets
Lots of bookies provide cash out options on a variety of sports markets, so these are some of the other sports that you can expect to cash out on.
You should also be aware that cash out sites can withdraw the cash out option at any time during play, based on their current live odds.
Best football cash out sites
In the UK, it’s no surprise that most bookmaker features have some connection to football. It is the biggest sport in the UK & Ireland after all. Early cash out is available on more football markets than any other sport at present so if you’re after a variety of bets that allow this feature, football will be the one to choose. Below are a list of fan favourite football betting sites with cash out:
To give you an idea of what markets are available on some of the nations best football cash out sites, take a look at this table below:
Full-time result | Double Chance |
Correct score | Half/full time |
Goals (under/over) | Both teams to score |
Goalscorer | Multiscorers |
Asian Handicap/Handicap result | Wincast |
Winning Margin | Scorecast |
You’ll be hard pushed to find a betting site that does not offer a cash out feature in their sportsbook, however not all bookmakers provide partial and automatic cash outs.
To help you discern which sites give you the most flexibility, we’ve combed through the biggest sports betting sites to give you an overview of their cash out features.

So you’ve chosen your betting site that offers the ability to cash out, but how do you go about placing a cash out bet and subsequently cashing out? Let’s walk you through the process.
Each betting site will have a different symbol representing the cash out functionality. This will be displayed next to the market which the cash out feature applies to.
These are the cash out symbols of the bookmakers we’ve already featured in this article

Make sure you are familiar with the terms of the cash out feature, as bookies reserve the right to suspend the betting markets, withdraw the ability to cash out, and only return part of your original wager.
Once you have chosen your odds and your stake then you can place your bets!
Make sure you are keeping your eyes on your players form, the current score, and previous track record of scoring towards the end of a game.
Unless you have created an auto cash out, then it is up to you to decide when (and if) to cash out.
You may be given the option to partially cash out your bet, in which case you should decide how much of your bet to cash out and how much you would like to remain in play.
Alternatively you can cash out 100% of your bet and sit back knowing that you are out of the market.
We’re here to enjoy the sports and to have fun betting at the same time. Don’t get caught up thinking how much you ‘could have won’ if only you’d done x, y, or z.
Remember, you’ve either lost less than you could have lost, or you are walking away with more cash than you started with, so there is always a positive to cashing out.
For our example we will use 888 Sport
Details required by 888sport
Step #1: Register for an account
There are only 3 pages on the registration form so it is quick to fill out. You can find the form in the top right of the homepage. You will need to enter your full name, date of birth, email, phone number, full home address as well as choose a username and password. Once complete you will be taken back to the homepage logged in.
Depositing at 888sport
Step #2: Deposit your funds
Next, you will need to deposit funds by clicking the “deposit” button also in the top right. Here you will choose your payment method and fill in your details. Regardless of which method you choose you need to input your details accurately or the payment will not complete. You may be redirected to sign in to your bank in the process.
Finding a market to bet on
Step #3: Find your sport & place your bets
To find your sport you can look on the left side of the screen in the sportsbook catalogue. Click the one you want. If football, for example, you can click on the match and market. This example is using “Sporting CP vs Eintracht Frankfurt” and you can see the bet I am choosing is highlighted in orange to the right of the team names. The bet slip appears and you can choose your stake before confirming.
Cashing out your bet
Step #4: Cash out your bets
Once your bet is confirmed (£5 in this example) you can see your active bets in the “my bets” tab on the bet slip. This will show you all active bets. During the game, if your team is up and you think you are happy to cash out early, you can do so using the orange “cash out” button. As the game progresses the value of the cash out will change depending on the team performance. If you cash out, the funds will be found in your account e-wallet the same place your potential winnings are found.
Withdrawing your funds
Step #5: Withdraw your funds
When you have funds in your account you can withdraw them using this form above. You can access it from the left side panel under your account information where a dropdown menu appears. The withdrawal method you choose depends on how quick you will receive the cashed out funds.
It’s easy to hold out for more, but ask yourself what you would tell your mate to do if they were in your situation? If it’s looking unlikely that your bet will win in the long run but you’re ahead now, think about what you stand to win or lose at this moment in time.
As the cash out option will not give you the most favourable return, you shouldn’t place your bets based on a strategy of always cashing out, as it will diminish your returns in the long run. Instead, use the cash out feature like a safety net to limit your losses on a bad bet.
When the betting market has been suspended such as during a referee’s decision making or at the time of a goal being scored, you will not be able to cash out your bets.
The cashout option has been a saving grace to many punters since it has been offered on betting sites, allowing us to lock in that early winning result or avoid a big loss when things haven’t gone to plan.
With the added ability to cash out part of our bets whilst leaving the remaining part in play, we can now get the best of both worlds, and secure some winnings whilst playing on to see if we can make more cash at the end of play.
Most sports offer some capability to cash out, even if not on every betting market within a sport, but with so much to choose from and some cash out betting sites offering over 30 different cash out bets, you’re bound to find something that takes your fancy.
So next time you’re placing a bet, make sure you look out for the cash out option if you want to limit your risks. And remember that just because a bet has the option to cash out, it doesn’t mean that you must cash out your bet, but you can keep the option there, should you need it.

There are plenty of sports that you can cash out on, and most of the big bookmakers give you options to cash out on almost all of their supported sports. This includes football, golf, Formula One, horse racing, tennis, American Football and many more.
Cash out works by returning you a portion of your winnings (or your stake) before the bet ends. This guarantees you some winnings on a winning bet, or limits your losses on a losing bet. Once you cash out all of your bet, you can not win or lose any more, regardless of the end result
If your bet is losing and you choose to cashout, you will get a portion of your stake returned to you. If you are winning when you cashout, you may get a portion of your stake in addition to your winnings, but only if you hold out until the end of the bet (and win) will you get your entire stake returned to you.
