Golf is one of the most popular sports out there, with major and minor tournaments taking place all the time. With that comes a desire to land some cool winnings off the back of your favourite (or not-so-favourite) golfers, tourneys, and more. But, which UK sites are the best for betting? It depends on how you like to bet and what you consider important, but let’s have a look at some key considerations that should be top-of-mind for any punter.
Tournaments and match coverage | The U.S. Open, Open Championship, and PGA Championship are just the tip of the iceberg and will always be available to bet on. A good UK bookies will cover the smaller tournaments as well. That goes for small tour events to international competitions. |
Bet selection | Just like tournaments and matches to bet on, punters will look for as many ways to bet as possible to keep things exciting. In golf, popular bets include outright winners, top-10 finishes, winners by nationality, and head-to-heads. Therefore, the bet selection should reflect that diversity, while giving punters additional ways to bet on top, such as fully customisable bets and accas. Bettors need variety if you expect them to return to the site. |
Extra places | While it may land you some astronomically high winnings, picking the outright winner for a tournament isn’t always the most attractive bet for punters. While a varied bet selection is crucial, extra places is a popular one punters love, so it’s important to call out. Golf bookies should offer enticing each way bets with competitive odds – it’s a must if you want bettors to use the site. |
Odds that are up to par | While we’re at it, bookies absolutely need to stay ahead of the competition by offering competitive odds across all events, regularly updating them to stay competitive with other bookies. Of course, the bookies doesn’t want to go bust, but they should also be thinking about the best experience for their punters, so striking a balance is crucial. |
Online reviews | The adage of ‘the customer is always right’ holds true for bookies. We look at online reviews to see what the best – and worst – things are about a bookies. Are they providing good tourney coverage and bet selection, do they offer market-leading promotions, and what’s their customer service support like? All of these things are taken into consideration. |
Live betting | Live betting is very popular in today’s betting climate. Punters like to bet as the action unfolds, giving them the chance to make decisions in real time. Live bets are a staple if a bookies wants to be looked upon favourably. That goes for keeping bets open and offering great odds. |
More features | Betting calculators, bet builders, live streaming and plenty more features are available in the current climate of online betting, and bookies should look to implement as many as they can – that doesn’t mean just throwing them in, however. Discerning punters expect and deserve good quality features. |
Statistics rule the roost | Punters know how intricate and complex a game like golf is, with lots to think about other than just hitting it in the hole (of course, that’s also important). A good UK bookies will offer market-leading, easy-to-understand statistics that tells punters all they need to know before wagering a bet. What are the course conditions like, typical weather conditions, and how are the golfers’ forms? All of these things enhance the experience and is crucial to ranking highly. |
Offers and bonuses | Bookies always offer promotions and bonuses, year-round. These can usually be applied to any golfing event (where it’s a sports offer), especially major tournaments, like the PGAs. However, a bookies that knows its audience will create enticing and bespoke offers to get punters wagering. In this context, that means offering golf-specific bets, whether it’s a welcome one, free bet, or something else. They should also ensure their terms and conditions are clear and visible so punters know what they’re getting themselves into. |
A holistic experience | Laptops, tablets, and smartphones all offer a slightly different experience for punters, given the nature of how they use those devices generally. For example, punters love betting on their phones for the convenience, but a website might be able to support the experience more comprehensively. That means bookies need to work hard to make the betting experience – across all devices – as pleasant as possible. |
Betgoodwin Golf
Pros
Cons
With golfing events happening consistently throughout the year, it is little surprise that golf is one of the most popular sports to bet on. This article will cover what established betting company Betgoodwin offers in terms of golf betting. One of the main priorities for Irish online gamers is that a site offers lots of promotions, is good value, and is secure. We will cover these aspects of the site and compare them against Betgoodwin’s competitors.
A huge plus of betting with Betgoodwin is that they offer some fantastic golf-specific bets throughout the year. One example is for the US Open Betgoodwin offered 50% of your money back for any losses you made on the first day of betting. This was a fantastic promotion as it kept consumers engaged throughout the tournament. Overall, this unique promotional offer sets Betgoodwin apart from its competitors.
With Betgoodwin being established in 1997, the company is an established name in the online betting market. The site is licensed and regulated by the UK Gambling Commission, allowing both British and Irish gamers to bet their money safely on the site. The site also offers 24/7 live customer support if you have any issues!
While Betgoodwin does offer extensive betting on golf and other sports, the main focus of the site is clearly horse racing. This is evident when you click on the site, with the Betgoodwin logo having a racing post in the design. Promotions for horse racing events are far more frequent for horse racing compared to golf, evidencing where the site’s priorities lie. Therefore, if you’re looking to strictly bet on golf, a different site may suit your needs better.
Another slight disadvantage of Betgoodwin is the limited payment methods available. Credit cards cannot be used for deposits on the site in the UK. Moreover, if you use an e-wallet to deposit money into your account, you may not be eligible for the welcome bonus.
Golf is one of the most popular sports for British and Irish gamers to place bets on. From the US Open, the Masters, and the Ryder Cup, there are golf events all year that provide bettors with endless opportunities. One relatively newer gambling provider is TalkSPORT. Established in 1995, the media conglomerate has recently partnered with BetVictor and turned its hand to online betting with the creation of the TalkSPORT Bet site in 2022. This article will give a short review of the pros and cons of using TalkSPORT Bet for betting on golf compared to other betting sites.
One distinct advantage of using TalkSPORT Bet for golfing bets is that the site provides promotions specifically for golfing. For example, for the US Open of the summer of 2023, TalkSPORT Bet offered up to £20 in free bets to customers who were betting on the competition. Given that promotions in sports betting mainly stick to football and horse racing, these specific promotions are a big advantage in TalkSPORT’s favour.
Like all great betting sites, TalkSPORT Bet provides a great range of options for Irish gamers. Visa and Mastercard are available to use on the site, with Apple Pay also being supported. E-wallets such as PayPal, Skrill, and Neteller are also available to use. Unfortunately for Irish customers, Revolut is not yet supported on the site, but this is also true for most gambling sites.
While TalkSPORT Bet offers some decent golf promotions throughout the year, the same cannot be said for the welcome offer. TalkSPORT Bet has a great welcome offer, with new customers receiving a 100% bonus on a £40 deposit. However, this can only be used for football bets. This is a huge disadvantage for golfing fans, especially considering many competitors do not restrict the sport you can be on with a welcome offer.
Looking for the best place to make your golfing bets? There are lots of betting sites out there, but many are starting to use Bzeebet to make them. What is it that makes them the best option?
Firstly, as soon as you become a member you’ll find that there’s a great number of markets available in all the sports, but golf is particularly well fleshed out. You’ll find markets that cover a number of competitions all over the world, so no matter what market you’re looking for, you’re going to find it here.
As well as the number of markets, you’ll be pleased to see that there’s really good value odds to be had too. When you compare their golf odds against some of the bigger names in the business right now, they really can hold their own.
The one thing they don’t have right now are any live golf markets, for those that are looking to bet on games as they happen. While they aren’t as in demand as other sports, there are many people out there who would like that option. We do hope that the site adds these in the future.
What the site does have is a lot of useful features, that you can use to really get the most out of it. For example, they have a ‘My Favourites’ section where you can save your favourite golf bets, so you can easily access them, later. You’ll also be able to see highlights, which is always a bonus.
Starsports is a popular online betting platform that offers a variety of sports betting options, including golf betting. Starsports’ golf betting section offers users access to a variety of golf tournaments from around the world, providing plenty of opportunities to place bets on their favourite players and teams.
One of the standout features of Starsports’ golf betting section is the variety of betting options available. Users can choose from pre-tournament and in-play betting options, allowing them to place bets before the tournament begins or during the tournament as it unfolds. Additionally, Starsports offers a range of betting types, including outright winner, top finish, and head-to-head matchups, among others. This variety of options ensures that users can tailor their bets to their preferences and increase their chances of winning.
Starsports also offers competitive odds on golf matches, giving users the potential to win big payouts. The platform updates odds in real-time, ensuring that users always have access to the most up-to-date information when placing their bets.
However, there are some potential drawbacks to using Starsports’ golf betting section. The platform may not be available in all countries, which can limit access for some users. Additionally, some users may find the interface and layout of the golf betting section to be overwhelming or confusing.
Overall, Starsports’ golf betting section is a strong choice for users who are looking for a variety of betting options and competitive odds. With access to a wide range of golf tournaments, users can place bets on their favourite players and teams with confidence. While there are some potential drawbacks to using Starsports’ golf betting section, the platform’s strengths make it a solid choice for golf betting enthusiasts.
Fafabet is a well-known online betting platform that offers a range of sports for betting, including golf. Fafabet Golf Betting provides customers with a wide range of golf events, markets, competitive odds, and various promotions, making it a great option for golf enthusiasts.
One of the key advantages of Fafabet Golf Betting is the range of golf events on offer. This includes major championships such as the US Open, the Masters, and the British Open, as well as international events such as the Ryder Cup, European Tour, and PGA Tour. Fafabet also covers a range of local golf events such as the Asian Tour, Australian PGA Championship, and South African Open. This variety means that customers can access a diverse range of golf events and betting options.
In addition, Fafabet provides competitive odds on golf matches, which can potentially increase customers’ winnings compared to other bookmakers. The platform also offers a range of betting markets, such as match-winner, top scorer, and hole-by-hole betting. This allows customers to place bets on different aspects of the game, providing a more engaging betting experience.
Fafabet Golf Betting also offers customers in-play betting options, which allows them to place bets on golf matches while they are in progress. This adds an extra level of excitement to the betting experience and provides an opportunity for customers to make additional profits.
Overall, Fafabet Golf Betting provides a comprehensive and enjoyable betting experience for golf enthusiasts. With a wide range of events, markets, competitive odds, and promotions on offer, Fafabet remains a popular choice for those looking to bet on golf. However, the lack of live streaming and limited availability in certain countries may be a concern for some customers. Nevertheless, Fafabet Golf Betting is a reliable and user-friendly platform that provides a range of opportunities for customers to engage with their favorite sport.
Ladbrokes doesn’t disappoint when it comes to golf betting and they have a large selection of betting markets to choose from. They have been offering bets within the golfing industry for a long time now so they are very experienced and often have very competitive odds available. As usual, Ladbrokes also have an enticing welcome offer for new visitors to the site. When you bet just £5, you’ll get £20 back in free bets!
Betting on golf at Ladbrokes
Bet 365 has something a little unique when it comes to betting on golf. They have the “live golf tracker” which allows punters to follow the game even if they are not watching a live event. Bet 365 does have a great selection of live streams available but the golf tracker shows them how the game is going using animations and mock ups of the hole layout each time. This seems to be one of the only bookmakers using a feature like this at present so Bet 365 is definitely my top option for golf betting. They have a healthy welcome offer for newcomers too: Bet £10 and receive £50 in free bets!
bet365’s golf intro
Betfred is no stranger to the golfing odds pool and often have highly competitive odds for punters to choose from. They have a great streaming service so customers can watch their favourite live golfing events and they even allow you to cash out some of the in-play bets.
Their welcome offer for new visitors to their site isn’t bad either. They have an offer where you can bet £10 and receive £60 in free bets.
Betfred’s golf section
Coral, similar to that of Paddy Power, offers more spots in the tournament points list which allows you more chances to get a return on your bets. If you’re betting on each way bets then this might be the platform for you. They also have a large collection of streaming services available that show the golfing events so you can make sure you never miss a game. If you are new to Coral, you can bet £5 and receive £20 in free bets to wager on the sportsbook!

Ready to get started with gold betting? Then you’ll want to take a look at BetVictor. They’re a go to site for many punters, so what can they offer you?
BetVictor’s current golf betting selection
The first thing to know is that they offer a good range of markets within the sport itself. That includes several different competitions, such as the Andalucia Masters and the US Masters. With that range of markets, you can bet on pretty much any game going.
Golf is also covered in the in play betting section too, with updated markets and odds on the winners of any round or competition in general. That lets you take part in the betting when it’s at its most exciting. While it’s great to have that available, they don’t appear to offer any live streaming on the golf games as of yet.
If you want to sign up and bet here, you can claim all kinds of deals. That starts with the welcome offer, where you can bet £10 and get £40 in free bets.
MrPlay have spent the last few years positioning themselves as one of the best sportsbooks out there. When it comes to golf betting, what can you expect from them?
Mr.play offer a limited golf selection
Many punters will be looking for in play betting on current golfing events, but sadly these aren’t available here as of yet. With any luck, more sports including golf will be added in the near future, so keep your eyes peeled.
You can check out just how many markets they have in golf from the home page, and they have over 20 available at time of writing. You can narrow your search quite easily, by selecting men’s or women’s and going through the markets they have. There’s plenty of choice across several competitions, so you’ll get what you want here.
As a new member, you can put your welcome bonus towards a golf bet too. You’ll get a free bet token given to you as a new member, and that can be used on any sport.
For golf punters, MrPlay has shown themselves to be a good selection for your bets.
William Hill is probably the best known sportsbook out there online. When it comes to golf, what can you expect from them?
William Hill’s extensive golf betting markets
When it comes to value, there are few out there that can compare to the site. They already offer great odds, and these are improved by the enhanced odds that they offer every day. These often focus on football, but you’ll often see some available for golf too. That’s a good way to even more for your bet.
They don’t cover all the competitions that are upcoming, but they have plenty of markets in some of the top ones coming up soon. That includes the Andalucia Masters, and the Zozo Championship. You’ll see lots of depth in these rounds, so you will be able to place the right bets here.
One of the best things about the site is that you can get golf specific offers here. That includes the Tournament Threesomes, which gives you even better odds on selected bets. That makes betting with William Hill one of the best ways to get your money’s worth on golf bets.
You’ll already know BoyleSports as they’re a top high street betting name. What can you expect from them for online golf betting, though?
Betitng on golf at BoyleSports
When it comes to in play golf betting, they’re one of the top sites to bet at. They cover plenty of markets, and update them on the fly as the game goes on. At time of writing there’s 39 markets in golf in play betting, more than any other site we’ve seen. With their 3D tracker tech, you’ll be able to keep up with everything that’s happening on the course.
You’ll have the chance to bet on all the major golfing competitions here too throughout the year, including the US Open and the US PGA Championship. Right now, they have lots of markets in the Andalucia Championship, so you have lots of choice.
The only downside to the site is that there’s no special golf promos here, where you could improve the value of your bets. However, there are still lots of other deals to take advantage of. If you are looking to make golf bets, BoyleSports is one of the best places to do it.
LeoVegas is known as one of the best betting sites online right now, but what makes them so great? Should they be where you go to place golf bets?
LeoVegas golf markets
The site has been made to operate best on mobile devices, and thanks to that you’ll find it easy to find all the golf markets. They’re listed by top markets first, and then by event. That allows you to browse through all the competitions they offer, such as the Champions Tour, PGA Tour, and more besides. There are lots of markets available in all of them, giving you lots of choice.
You can also check out their in play betting section, which includes golf markets. There’s lots here, with currently 47 offers being made available to you. That’s an excellent range compared to other sites out there right now.
The site offers live streaming on selected events too, so you can watch them as you bet. That’s great to have, but right now you won’t find any golf streams which is a shame.
You have a lot of choice when it comes to betting sites these days, so what makes Luckland Sport the right site for you? Can they offer you a good golf betting experience?
Betting on golf at Luckland Sport
Taking a look at their golfing markets, they currently have over 20 markets available covering a good range of competitions that are happening now. That includes the US Open, PGA Tour and more. Whatever competition you’re following, you’ll be able to watch them and place bets as they happen.
While these markets are good, you’ll see that they don’t have any in play betting available for gold. That is surprising, as they offer a range of betting for all kinds of different sports. Hopefully that’s something that they’ll look at including in the near future.
If you’re looking for good prices on your bets, then you’re in good hands here. Luckland Sports offers good odds on golf, which are very comparable to the big name sportsbooks out there. That’s not surprising when there are so many out there, but it’s good to know you’ll get the right price here.
While Grosvenor are well known for their casinos, you won’t want to sleep on them when it comes to golf betting. What are they offering you online?
Grosvenor golf betting markets
Take a look at their gold markets, and you’ll see the site is very well laid out so you can find the right ones for you. There are tabs across the top of the golf page, so you can find the competitions that you’re interested in. That includes the Majors, the Champions Tour, and more besides. Right now, the site is offering odds on the current Andalucia Masters, so you can see they’re offering up to date odds.
You’ll also be able to find in play betting odds too, so you can bet on golf as its happening. These are updated in real time too, so you’ll be able to get in on the action. While the in play betting is sound, there isn’t any live streaming, so you’ll need to watch the golf elsewhere as you bet.
As a betting site, Luckland Sports does have a lot for golf fans, so take a look.
While there are certainly bigger betting sites out there, BetUK is becoming one of the most popular places to bet on golf. Why is that?
Current golf betting odds on BetUK
While getting to the golf markets is a little convoluted on the site, once you get there you’ll be able to see everything that’s available to you right now. There’s a good range of markets covered in all upcoming competitions, so you can keep up with the golfing tournaments that are happening now. That includes the Andalucia Masters and the Zozo Championships that are happening at time of writing, with plenty of markets available.
If you want to get good prices on your bets, then you’ll see that you can get good odds on all golf bets here. You’ll see you can get even better deals when you check the specials that the site offers too. While these are usually football specials, you’ll see golf and other sports get good odds too.
For those looking for a good place to bet on the latest competitions, BetUK is a really good place to do so.
There’s more choice than ever when it comes to online sportsbooks. Out of all of the ones available to you, what makes NetBet the site you should use for golf bets?
NetBet offer a great golf site design
It’s easy to find the markets you want here, and when it comes to golf they have all the basics covered. They have a whopping 76 markets available at time of writing, making them one of the best places to find the right bet for you.
They’re currently covering the LIV Golf Invitiational Series and the Zozo Championship, so you can get markets in all the upcoming events. They cover all the major competitions throughout the year too, so you’re in good hands with them.
The one downside to the site is that they don’t offer any golf markets in their in play section. That’s something that you would expect to see, but right now you won’t be able to do in play bets here. As other sites can offer this, hopefully they’ll add golf to this section soon.
Golf had been a popular sport for many years around the world but recently surged in popularity in the last few years. Due to the sport allowing people to socially distance while playing, it quickly became the top choice sport for everyday people in 2020.
When the major tournament is happening, golf quickly becomes a highly anticipated event for fans. Luckily for them it’s extremely easy to follow the sport throughout these events due to the many betting sites that share this journey with their punters.
When considering how popular golf is around the world, the top five countries for playing and watching the tournaments are:
1st – Ireland
2nd – Canada
3rd – United Kingdom
4th – United States of America
5th – South Africa
It’s a little bit surprising that the United Kingdom comes in third place considering the game originated on the British Isles but Ireland and Canada have been proven to be bigger fans by online searches.
To make sure you understand what terms you might hear within an event, let’s take a look at some common words and phrases used in golf.
Par – This is the name of the number of strokes it takes you to complete a hole. Par is the name of the action and not the number of the result.
Every single hole in golf is rated as either a par-three, a par-four or a par-five. There are occasionally par-six holes but these are far and few between. What this par-and-number means is that every hole has been rated by the amount of strikes they believe expert golfers will need to complete the hole. If it is a par-three then expert golfers at the top of their game should easily be able to complete the hole in no more than three strikes of their ball.
Name | Meaning | Example |
Birdie | 1 less than par | Score 3 on par-four hole |
Bogey | 1 more than par | Score 5 on par-four hole |
Eagle | 2 less than par | Score 2 on par-four hole |
Double Bogey | 2 more than par | Score 5 on par-three hole |
Double Eagle (Rare) | 3 less than par | Score 1 on par-three hole |
Triple Bogey | 3 more than par | Score 6 on par-three hole |
Ace or hole-in-ones
If a golfer scores a hole in one then they have a perfect score for that hole. If they get a hole in one on a par-five however, it is known as an ace. This also does not happen very often as it is quite difficult to do.
Betting on professional golf can be interesting and enjoyable, but there can be a lot of options to get your head around. We will cover some of the most popular golf bets you can place, different events available throughout the year and the various markets available to place your golf betting needs.
Outright result – betting on the winner
In betting terms this is relatively straightforward. Betting on the outright result is when you place a wager on one of the golfers to win the game completely. It is the simplest of all betting types as it’s normally an easily determined result. This is because golf cannot end in a tie-game. If there is a tie result at the end then the players will continue to play 18-hole golf until there is a clear winner.
Top of the charts result
If you’re following a golfer quite closely and you believe they can finish in the top percentile of the tournament, then you can place a wager with one of the golf betting sites that they will end in the top 5. This is great when you are confident your golfer is a top player but not as confident, they will definitely win the entire competition.
Each way
An each way bet is not exclusively used in golf however it is used often as a golf betting market. How each way bets work is 50% of your stake goes on your choice of golfer to win the game, and the other 50% goes on them finishing within the first 4 or 5 positions. The number of positions exactly depends on the betting site you bet with, but they usually include up to 4 places.
Group or “Match” betting
In some instances, you’ll have two golfers competing who play at a similar level. This leads to some betting sites allowing accumulators and groups of single bets to target one golfer over another to have a great tournament. You can do multiple bets into your one accumulator to make the competition a little more interesting.
Make or miss the cut
Usually across a multi-day tournament there is a time when a group of players will be eliminated. This usually happens around the second of four days and it’s the players with the lowest points by this stage that are taken out of the overall game. You can make a bet deciding whether or not your chosen golfer will “make the cut” and continue on past day 2.
In order to make successful bets on golf sporting events you should make sure you are aware of the rules of the game. I’m not going to lie, there are over 100 pages in the original golf-rules handbook. We won’t cover them all today, so we will try to outline just the basics.
The aim of the game is to get the white golf ball into each hole in the lowest number of tries. If a golfer can get the ball in on the first try then that is called a “hole in one”. This is what most golfers aim for as it would give you a perfect score for each one you get. If you played an 18-hole game and you got a hole in one for every hole, that is the best score possible.
Most non-professional games are just 18-holes to play. In professional golf it is often 72-holes played over four days. In this case 18-holes is classed as just a round.
Step #1. Pick a betting site to place your bets on
For this example we’ll choose Sky Bet to bet on golf
In order to start betting on golf you’ll need to do some research and choose a betting site that suits your needs. While there are over 70 active betting sites in the UK, not all extensive good golf betting markets. If you know specifically what betting market you want to place a wager on then you can start by checking the individual golf betting sites and seeing which one has the markets you want. If you are looking for a good welcome offer then you can consider these at this time too.
For this example, we will use Sky Bet!
Step #2. Creating your account or logging in
Choosing to login or signup
Once you have chosen your favourite golf betting site you can start to create your account. (If you already have an account, you can skip this step and just log in!)
When you first start to create your account, you will need to input your personal details such as:
The site will need these details to match your legal documents otherwise you may be refused an account. In some instances, you need to send proof of identification but this is easily rectified.
Step #3. Create your username and password for account security
Creating your Sky Bet account to bet on golf
Since your betting account will be handling money, you will need the account to be kept safe and secure. This means you will need to create your username and password. Make sure you choose something that you can easily remember (but not easy for others to work out) so you can get in your account when you need to.
Step #4. Depositing your funds to bet with
How to deposit funds
Once your account registration is complete and you are logged in, you will need to deposit funds so that you can make bets. You can do this by clicking on the homepage and looking for the small person symbol at the top of the page. Clicking this will open a form on the right side and will give you the option to “deposit”
Choosing “quick deposit”
As you can see you have the option to do a “quick deposit” which is only available if you have already added your payment method. If you click the “deposit” button it will open up a slightly different form. If you enter your debit card details into the form, make sure to triple check the numbers and expiry are correct otherwise it won’t be accepted. Select the cash value you wish to send and click deposit to finalise.
Depositing via card
Step #5. Find golfing in the sportsbook
Once you have deposited your chosen cash value you can check your balance by clicking the “show balance” button on the site heading. From this homepage you will want to find golf in the sportsbook to start searching for your bet markets. On the left side of the screen on the blue sidebar, you’ll need to scroll down to see the A-Z list of sports. Scroll far enough until you find Golf and click it.
Choosing golf from the sports markets
Step #6. Choose a tournament and market
Upcoming golf tournaments
As you can see, you’ll be brought to the first page with a list of upcoming golfing tournaments. If you know what competition you want to bet on, click it and see what markets are available. If not, this is the best chance to have a real look at the different options available to you.
We will place a bet on the US Open 2022 which is at the top of the list.
Betting on the US Open
Step #7. Selecting your market and placing your bet
Now we are inside the US Open category on the golfing sportsbook, it’s time to select the specific market you want to bet on. To keep things nice and simple here, I am going to place a bet on “any English winner”. This means I believe the outright winner will be from the UK.
Odds available on popular golf bets
Listed above in red you’ll see the different odds available for each bet you can make. In the instance of the bet I wish to place, the odds are 13.00. To add this bet to a bet slip you just click the odds.
An example golf betslip
As you can see, if £10 is placed on these odds of 13.00 then the monetary return could be £130 if the bet is correct. That doesn’t sound too bad does it!
At the very bottom of the bet slip you can confirm your bet and it will be added to your bet slip. You can always find the bet slip as it is located on the right side of the screen regardless where you are on the site.
Step #8. Settling and finalising bet results
Now all that is left is to wait until the bet has settled (meaning the results are finalised) and if you are correct, you’ll be credited with funds into your account. If you are wrong with your predictions then you will unfortunately not receive any credit to your account. That’s the one negative side to betting – you may not get back what you wagered.
Golf, just like many other sports, has multiple major tournaments around the world. These tournaments are the main events people place money on when betting on golf. Since these competitions are so well known, they’re generally easy to find on most betting sites and will be easy to place bets within your chosen markets.
A grand slam in golf (similar to that of tennis) is when a golfer successfully wins all four of the major tournaments in one year. To date nobody has achieved this with all four tournaments however Tiger woods managed it over a two-year period. He is the closest golfer to hitting a (recent) golfing grand slam.
The Masters is played in Georgia every year and it began in 1934. The youngest of the four tournaments, this is still a well-respected tournament in its own right. This is a 72-hole competition and it is played over a four-day period. The aim of the tournament is to complete the holes with the lowest possible score.
This is arguably the most difficult golfing tournament worldwide. The golf courses within this competition are specifically more difficult, uneven and have many more obstacles. This contest first opened its doors in 1895 in Rhode Island and is officially the second oldest championship. This competition is a 72-hole tournament and they eliminate the golfers with the lowest points after 36-holes have been completed.
The Open Championship (also known as the British Championship) is the oldest of the golfing tournaments within the Grand Slam. It was created in 1860 and takes place in Fife, Scotland every year. This is often known as the most prestigious of the golfing tournaments and it is a real honour to be named champion of the Open. This is also a 72-hole competition played in the UK each year.
Organised by the Professional Golfers Association, this tournament has been taking place since 1916 in Bronxville USA. Similar to the rest of the Grand slam competitions, the US Championship is also a 72-hole contest. They will make a cut of the lowest point players at the end of the 36-hole mark.
As with any sport, golf is a long-game that allows punters to enjoy multiple days of tournaments. It’s a game with many rules and some complicated plays, but if you do a little research, you will be able to get some successful predictions. If you’re a total beginner to betting on golf then you could easily stick with outright wins and still make some good profit if you are successful.
If you’re after a sport to enjoy for longer than one game, then golf could be a great option for you and you can follow the golfer of your choice to (hopefully) win a championship title.
