With so many betting platforms on desktop and mobile, knowing which to choose is difficult. What makes one platform better than another? Thankfully, this is where we come in. We like to assess the quality of betting websites across a range of criteria. Today, we’re considering InfernoBet.
In this review, you’re going to learn about their customer support, markets, responsible gambling efforts, depositing and withdrawal methods, promotions, and more. Without further ado, let’s get started!
Launched in 2020, InfernoBet are one of the newest betting platforms around. Despite enduring difficult circumstances in their opening months with the COVID-19 pandemic and a lack of sport, they have still done well to capture attention from a good number of bettors (after all, you’re reading this review).
Are they a new service? Well, yes and no. On the one hand, InfernoBet are a new service and a new website. On the other, they are managed by ProgressPlay Limited, a name which also has BetSteve, SwishBet, and plenty of other names under its umbrella. With this in mind, we can be confident that management knows what they’re doing and that the service has the people and systems in place to survive this competitive market.
Of course, we’ll always let you know when a sportsbook or casino fail to have the right licenses. Fortunately, InfernoBet have a license from the UK Gambling Commission and the Malta Gaming Authority.
Registration and Welcome Offer
If you’ve used any of the ProgressPlay Limited names, you will be accustomed to the registration process. In fact, you’ll be accustomed to the whole platform because they all share a similar appearance. To get started, click the Join Now button at the very top of the page. From here, you’re taken to an initial form where you’re asked to enter your email address and a password to create the account. After also entering a mobile number, you can Submit and head through to the more extensive sections of the registration phase.
As a ProgressPlay Limited product, you also get the same welcome bonus. After depositing £10 for the first time, you’re rewarded with a £10 free bet in return. We’ve certainly seen better welcome offers, but there’s also nothing wrong with a simple free bet. Available to only new players, minimum odds for the free bet are set to 1.5 and it comes with a 10x wagering requirement.
When utilising this free bet, you need to know a couple of important things. Firstly, you only have seven days to use the bet before it’s removed from your account. Secondly, all stakes and bets are taken from your account balance before the free bet. In other words, you need to drain your account balance before the next stake is then taken from the free bet. Therefore, we recommend placing your free bet before any large deposits. You don’t want to have £200 in the way of your free bet; you’ll either need to stake it all inside a week or lose it completely.
These days, betting platforms like to make it easy for all players to deposit their money into accounts. With this in mind, there are lots of different depositing methods on InfernoBet. While the most popular are MasterCard, Visa, and Maestro, those who like to deposit with an eWallet are also in good hands. For example, the list includes PayviaPhone, PayPal, Neteller, Skrill, Trustly, paysafecard, Interac, EcoPayz, Zimpler, QIWI, SOFORT, GIROPAY, Euteller, Fast BankTransfer, and WebMoney.
In terms of minimums, some payment methods are set to £20 but you’ll find others with a minimum of £10. At the other end of the scale, the maximum with most eWallets is set to £5,000.
If your sporting knowledge has come in handy and you’re ready to withdraw, many of the same banking methods are available. This includes MasterCard, Visa, and Maestro. With every withdrawal, the bad news is that there’s a £2.50 fee. With regards to timings, InfernoBet put your funds through a pending period of three business days and then a processing period of one business day. After this, the funds are released, and you’ll receive the money between one and ten business days later (depending on the method selected).
Sports and Markets
When testing this platform, we encountered over 30 sports and lots of betting markets in each. For many players, the problem with new services is that they don’t have a horse racing product. With InfernoBet, they not only offer horse racing but actually have an extensive market in this field. Although there’s no greyhound racing, we found horse races from several different countries.
When it comes to market depth, not much can compete with football (but this is common across most betting platforms). With the very highest fixtures, football can contain over 100 unique markets. If you’re someone who likes to make accumulators and random football bets when the weekend rolls around, you’re in good hands with InfernoBet.
Other sports on InfernoBet include chess, darts, tennis, ice hockey, table tennis, rugby, volleyball, basketball, baseball, sailing, cricket, boxing, cycling, snooker, and even WWE. If you like to bet on eSports, we found lots of games including:
- Counter-Strike: GO
- Dota 2
- Rainbow Six
- StarCraft 2
- League of Legends
- King of Glory
Despite the rapid rise of eSports, this is still an area that gets left behind with many betting services. Fortunately, InfernoBet seem to have all major eSports occasions covered so you can bet on your favourite teams while the events broadcast around the world.
In truth, we’ve seen better and worse with promotions. We’ve discussed the welcome bonus, but InfernoBet also offer a sports league which is accessible for all players. As long as you deposit £10 using the special code (‘PACE’), all you need to do is stake £50 on a sporting event and you’ll be entered onto the leaderboard. If you finish in the top five on the leaderboard, you could win a cash prize. At the moment, the July leaderboard is up and running and we believe it resets each month.
Elsewhere, InfernoBet also have special offers for motorsport and basketball bettors. If you place £25 of qualifying bets on either of these two sports, you’ll receive a free £10 bet in return. With the basketball promotion, you can stake this £25 on EuroLeague, NBA, or FIBA. On the other hand, the motorsport promotion covers Indy Car, F1, NASCAR, WRC Rally, and others.
All in all, we recommend taking a look at the promotions. If you’re betting on your favourite sport, you might as well see if there’s a promotion running at the same time. Just by placing bets naturally, you may just get a free bet out of it.
Currencies and Languages
For many, this section won’t affect the betting experience. However, we wanted to mention that InfernoBet is available in various languages and currencies. As well as English, the website is available in both Finnish and German. Furthermore, you can deposit and withdraw US Dollars and Euros alongside GBP.
If you’re currently based outside the UK, we recommend looking at the list of restricted countries because you may not have access to the website everywhere. For instance, this includes Spain, Turkey, France, Bulgaria, Portugal, Croatia, Australia, the US, Romania, Denmark, and Italy.
Desktop and Mobile Experience
When planning this review, we were thinking of ways to explain the InfernoBet website, and summarised that it packs no surprises for people who have used a betting website before. For those who have used BetSteve or another ProgressPlay Limited platform, the design is essentially the same. For those who have used another betting platform, you’ll immediately notice the same three-tiered layout; sports and markets on the left, stats and odds in the middle, and a betting slip on the right.
Let’s say you’re a football fan; click on the football icon on the left and a sidebar will open. From here, you can choose either live matches or pre-match betting. Also, as you scroll down, it’s possible to choose fixtures in a particular nation. One reason we like this sidebar is that you can type in a search bar if you have a certain team or competition in mind. When you select a fixture, all the markets and odds take over the middle section and you can add to the betting slip on the right.
What about the appearance and overall feel of the website? We’re big supporters of both. The website uses a black and red theme with many of the panels opting for a lighter grey. We spent quite some time on InfernoBet and didn’t have a problem with navigation or page loading speeds. What’s more, we loved the display options. They are as follows:
- Event View
- Live Multiview
- Live Overview
- Live Calendar
If you want to see the events that have already taken place in a given day, just select the Results tab and filter for sport, competition, and date. With this level of customisation, players can adjust to however they like to bet, and this is something we like.
For mobile players, you won’t have an app to rely on (and this is true for both Android and iOS users). Don’t worry, the website works perfectly on the browser. When using a mobile browser, the concern is always being able to place bets quickly. During our time on InfernoBet, this was not a problem. We could even play around with our account, customer support, and look at all the other pages on mobile.
Over the years, the betting experience has expanded somewhat. With this in mind, we can now cash out, watch live streams, and place bets when the event has already started. But what about on InfernoBet? As the saying goes, two out of three isn’t bad. You will have opportunities to cash out and bet in-play, but there’s no live streaming on the platform at all.
We know this will be a disappointment for some, but they have tried to make up for the lack of live streaming with advanced graphics. If you’re keeping an eye on a football fixture, you’ll see where the ball is on the pitch with real-time graphic updates. Additionally, there are all sorts of statistics available on the relevant panel. Therefore, you can still make strong betting decisions even without watching the event live.
If you never really use live chat, this might not feel important. Yet, it’s still good to know that support is around when you need it. When you choose InfernoBet, you can contact their email or online chat function between 8am and 12am. Alternatively, look at the FAQs page before contacting and you may find an answer to your question in there. Sadly, there’s no phone number.
With all ProgressPlay Limited platforms, there’s a universal Responsible Gambling page (why break a winning formula?). On this page, you’ll see information about gambling addiction (with useful links), internet filtering software, underage gaming, parental controls, and more. As players ourselves, what we’re more interested in is the Responsible Gambling features available on the website. You’ll have access to time outs, betting limits (per month, week, and day), self-exclusion, and reality checks.
Should You Choose InfernoBet?
If you already play on one of the ProgressPlay Limited platforms, you might not be interested in switching to InfernoBet because the experiences are so similar. Of course, the one advantage of choosing this one over SwishBet, for example, is the added horse racing. If you’re not in this range of betting platforms already, InfernoBet is a great betting platform…but only if you can overlook the small problems. This includes no greyhounds, no live chat, no mobile app, and the lack of promotions. The good news is that the markets and sports are extensive, they take Responsible Gambling seriously, there are plenty of banking methods, and the interface is enjoyable. Why not try InfernoBet today?
