The Irish Daily Million is a lottery game based in Dublin, in which players choose six numbers from a pool ranging from 1 to 39. Each time a draw is conducted, six random numbers and one bonus number are selected at random. If you are familiar with Ireland’s “National Irish Lottery” and the UK’s “National Lottery” there are definitely some similarities in the way things are run, however they also have a few differences such as this lottery does not roll over on the days when a prize is not won. This means the Irish daily millions results only last for the one draw and do not carry over.
There are primarily two approaches to taking part in the Irish Daily Million:
When a player chooses Quick Pick, their numbers will be chosen at random. Similar to the UK’s National Lottery lucky dip feature, a player has the option of going directly to a National Lottery Agent to request a Quick Pick. A player also has the option of checking the Quick Pick box located in one of the panels on the playslip.
Time of lottery numbers purchase | Draw you’ll be entered into |
Before 2pm every day | 2pm (the same day) |
After 2pm every day | 9pm (the same day) |
After 9pm every day | 2pm (the following day) |
The daily Irish lottery is drawn 7 days a week. There are two draws every day both in the week and on weekends. There is one draw at 2pm and another one at 9pm. Players will be entered into the draw for the 2pm prize if they buy their ticket before 2pm; if they buy after 2pm, they will instead be entered into the draw for the 9pm prize. Players must make sure to examine their ticket to determine the time of the draw. Of course, if you purchase multiple lines of numbers through an online bookmaker you can select which draw you want your numbers for. This means you do not have to only buy your bet slip the same day as the draw.
You can get ahead of the game if you to
You don’t necessarily have to go out and buy your tickets on the same day that the draw you want to take part in is taking place. You have the option of entering just one draw or multiple draws depending on your preferences. You have the opportunity to participate in as many as the following seven draws simultaneously if you use the Daily Million Advance feature on your chosen bookmaker. On the ticket, you will find all of the information pertaining to these draws, including the relevant dates and the number of draws in which you have chosen to participate.
The prize for the daily Irish lottery is one million Euros. When participating in Daily Million, a player has a one in 28 chance of winning any value prize.
If a player participates in both Daily Million and Daily Million Plus, then they have a one in fourteen chance of winning any prize. If the top prize of one million euros is not claimed, it will not be carried over to the following day’s draw for another million euros. This pertains to each and every category that is included in the Daily million Game.
The amount of expected prize payout for each Daily Million draw is equal to 54.23 percent of the draw’s total gross revenue. This could change depending on the actual prize payout that takes place during any given draw for the Daily Million.
How many numbers do you need to win? | Winning value (Euros) |
Match 6 numbers | 1 Million Euro (Individually or shared) |
Match 5 + the Bonus number | 10,000 Euro |
Match 5 numbers | 500 Euro |
Match 4 + the Bonus number | 100 Euro |
Match 4 numbers | 25 Euro |
Match 3 + the Bonus number | 10 Euro |
Match 3 numbers | 3 Euro |
If you are playing from within the UK instead of Ireland, you will find that most of the winnings are converted into GBP. This is normal as when you create your bookmaker account they normally ask you to select the currency you would like to play in. Due to ever changing exchange rates, the GBP value could differ slightly when converting from the table above.
Players that have purchased one or more tickets for the daily Irish lottery, can check the results online once they become available. They’re available almost instantly so if you’re near your computer when the draw is over you should have no trouble finding the available final results.
In order to check your Irish daily million results, the safest and quickest way to know if you’ve won is to check on the bookmaker that you made your bet on. This way, you’ll not only be notified if you won anything but you’ll also be able to see the bet slip for yourself without needing to do the guesswork looking on another platform.

Selecting the Irish Dailly Million
As you can see, there is a “Daily Millions” and an “Irish Lotto”. Make sure you select the Daily millions button as that is the lottery we are discussing today.
Once you are on the Daily millions page, you will need to deposit your funds before you can place any bets or predictions. You can do this by clicking the red “deposit” button in the top right corner near your name and account details.
As you can see below, this brings up page one of the deposit page. The first thing you will need to do is select which payment or deposit method you wish to use. The most common way to add money to your betting account is through the debit card option at the top of the list.
Once you have decided which method is best for you, make sure to click the “Add” button next to it on the right side of the screen. This will open up the second deposit screen.
Adding a payment method to BoyleSports
Payment details required by BoyleSports
As you can see from the image above, you will be met with a new window. This is where you must input all relevant information about the debit or credit card your wish to use. When filling in your personal details, make sure to double check everything is correct otherwise your deposit will be unsuccessful.
The same goes for your bank card. Don’t mis-type any digits.
Lastly, you will need to input your billing address. Most of the time this might be the same as your residential address in which case it will be auto populated. If it happens to be different to your current residential address then you will need to delete the address information and type in new data.
Once you have added your card you will be brought to a new page where you can input the exact monetary amount you wish to deposit. This is the amount you will have added to your account that you can then bet with.
Playing the Daily Million Lottery
Step #3: Playing the daily Irish Millions Lottery
So you’ve done all the important account-related steps. Now you’re ready to start making bets on the daily lottery bet slips. As you can see once you are back on the daily millions page, you’ll see 3 tickets, 2 of which are blurred out.
Example numbers for the Daily Million
As you can see I have selected the 5 numbers:
2, 6, 17, 22, 26.
These numbers have appeared at the bottom of the bet slip to show that they have been selected. If you need to change the numbers at all, you can simply click the number you don’t want again, which will un-highlight it. You are then able to click the next number you do want.
Lotto numbers added to the betslip
If you scroll down to underneath the bet slip, you’ll see the different draws that you can enter your bets into. As you can see you can place bets up until just before 9pm and just before 2pm. Depending on the time of day you try to place your bet will depend on the times available to you to place on the draw.
As mentioned earlier, if you place a bet before 2pm you can enter into the 2pm draw. After 2pm you can only enter into the 9pm draw.
Selecting which daw you wish to play
Step #4: Placing the wager and waiting for the Irish daily millions results
If you compare the two images of the bet slip for the lottery, you’ll see that the automatic stake is 0. When you input your chosen monetary value you will see the difference between the 0 and your new estimated profit amount (return) – if your prediction is correct that is.
In this instance, if you place a bet on the selected numbers with a £10 bet and your prediction comes true, then you will walk away with £500,010.00. Not bad for a £10 spend right?
You should notice two buttons at the bottom of the slip. If you add to the bet slip, then you can still add others to it to create a multiple before officially finalising the bet. If you skip straight to the “bet now” button you will be finalising the bet and will not be able to add to it or make any changes.
Now your bet is placed and your lottery numbers are waiting to be drawn. There is nothing you can do until after the fact. If you are successful in your guesses then your winnings will be added to your account. If you are unsuccessful then your account will remain the same..
First let’s check out the likelihood and odds of matching balls without the bonus ball.
Number of Balls | Odds |
1 Ball | 5/1 |
2 Balls | 40/1 |
3 Balls | 375/1 |
4 Balls | 3,750/1 |
5 Balls | 50,000/1 |
As with any type of lottery or betting event, there are odds you should at least be somewhat aware of. The Irish daily millions lottery is no exception.
When you consider the sheer number of people who take part in the daily millions lottery by buying a ticket, you’ll also understand how likely or unlikely it is for any of those people to get all numbers correct. Let’s take a look:
First let’s check out the likelihood and odds of matching balls without the bonus ball.
Now let’s check out the likelihood and odds of matching balls with the bonus ball:
Number of Balls | Odds |
1 Ball | 4/1 |
2 Balls | 30/1 |
3 Balls | 200/1 |
4 Balls | 1,600/1 |
5 Balls | 15,000/1 |
Different ways to bet on the Irish daily lottery
Similar to sporting bets where you have multiple markets within a sport to bet on, the lottery is the same. If you want to keep things relatively straightforward you can opt to make one of the two most popular bets which we will outline below:
Straight bet
When you place a straight bet, you are essentially given the opportunity to back any of the 39 numbers that will be used in the Irish Daily Million draw. If you think that the ball with the number 17 will be drawn, you can place a bet on this outcome if you want to. You will win your sports lottery special bet and receive a payout for it if the number you chose to be drawn is selected.
You can also back multiple single numbers in a single wager, and the odds for such a wager will change depending on the number of numbers you add to your straight. You have the opportunity to make various predictions, such as attempting to guess all six of the numbers that will be drawn in the lottery. Of course, the more numbers you aim to predict, the higher the odds will be.
Combination or mixed bet
You also have the option of making a combination wager, which carries with it a significantly increased chance of being successful. The key difference is that in order to cover the necessary number of bets for a combination, you will need to bring a larger total stake into play. They are very similar to straight bets, but they allow you to cover a greater number of possible outcomes by allowing you to select up to 14 numbers on each line.
Specialist bets
If you would prefer a little more excitement and the regular choice of numbers isn’t cutting it for you, then you can spice up your betting regime by taking part in one of the following markets instead. None are particularly difficult to understand, but they are a little less common to bet on.
1st number drawn
This one is pretty self explanatory. You would essentially place a wager on a prediction of not only which numbers will be drawn, but specifically which ball and number will be drawn first. It doesn’t seem so hard does it? There are only 39 numbers to choose from after all. This is a quick way to make a bet without having to watch the entire draw since each draw only has one first number drawn anyway.
Odds and evens bet
This next bet is a lot less common in comparison and might remind you of a bet on a casino roulette table. If you feel like you want to bet on the possibility of all the drawn numbers being odd or even ones, then you can do this at some sportsbooks. You can place a wager on whether each of the numbers, including the bonus ball, are odd or even. Unfortunately this specialty bet is not available everywhere so you will have to shop around for it.
Bonus Ball bet
This is a bet you can find on Betfred but not many other bookmakers. Similarly to the 1st number drawn bet, you can also bet on other specifics in the order of the balls drawn. Betfred is You have the option of placing your wager on the number that is drawn for the bonus ball – rather than the other regular numbers. You place your bet in the same manner as with the straight bet, but in addition, you get to choose which number you think will be selected as the bonus ball.
What | Where | Why |
SSL certificate on the bookmaker site | Look for the padlock in the URL of the webpage | This proves the site is safe and secure to be handling your money and data. |
Appropriate betting licences | Near the bottom of a bookmaker homepage and sometimes in the settings | This shows that the website is legally licenced to operate in your selected jurisdiction. |
Deposit & withdrawal (payment) methods | These can be easily found in the “e-wallet” section of most sites as well as “Account” | If you are only in a position to deposit funds through one method (ie. Paypal) then it would be pointless to try and sign up with a site that had debit cards only. |
Available in your jurisdiction | It will normally state near their licence information, what locations this site is legally allowed to be used in | It is illegal to try and use a betting site that isn’t legally allowed to run in another location. Even some top tier VPN’s can often be blocked when trying to access UK bookmaker sites. |
Always remember, any site that is legal and correctly operating, will have no issues in proudly displaying their documents and important information. If you have doubts about a bookmakers licence or you are struggling to find them on their site, I would think twice about depositing your funds or using them. If they are not licensed you are likely not protected.
You also need to consider if the type of bets you want to place are available at the bookmaker you want to use. For example:
If so, as this is the most common bet for the daily millions lottery you can almost guarantee this would be available for you.
As this is nowhere near as possible as a straight, there are a lot less bookmakers that would offer this bet on their platform so if you don;t do your research in advance, you could end up registering to a site that you don’t even get to use in the way you want.
Consequently, as you can see, placing sports wagers on the outcomes of the Irish Daily Million is highly likely to be exciting regardless of your outcome. When you participate in the thrill of betting on the Irish daily millions lottery you are in turn giving yourself an opportunity to make some money back in returns.
In order to give yourself a good chance at winning at least something, you should consider the type of bet you wish to place from the list above, compare the odds but most importantly have fun.
By making sure the bookmaker is well known and trusted, you can worry less and focus more of your precious time on building your bet slips
