Leicester City vs Manchester City

With two wins from 3 for both teams, this fixture always springs up surprises, and this one should be no different.

 

Leicester enjoys playing the bigger teams in the league, as they always seem to raise their game to match their opponents, and this one will be no different. They’ve found success before against Man City on numerous occasions and they’ll fancy that they can do it again here at the King Power stadium. Jamie Vardy remains so crucial to this Leicester side and he’s proving it again this season that he will be called upon, but he always finds the answers. He’s a player that doesn’t look to be slowing down, and despite that they’ve brought in another striker to the club, Vardy will be the main focus to get goals. It’ll be a tough game as it’s hard to know what Man City will show up, but Leicester has enough in their squad to cause issues.

 

Back-to-back 5-0 wins for Man City against Norwich and Arsenal makes Man City look good coming into this one, but it’ll be a completely different game. They’re capable of putting 5 past any team in the league on their day, but Leicester will offer up a bigger threat than Norwich and Arsenal and it should be more competitive. Man City will likely dominate possession as they do in most of their games, but Leicester isn’t a team that crumbles if they go 1-0 down. Man City failed in their pursuit to get a striker in during the transfer window, and that is something that could cost them long term, but they have enough players in their squad that grab goals and how they play means that a striker isn’t always needed, but it will no doubt be a problem at some point. This one could be a close game.

 

Chelsea vs Aston Villa

Chelsea has looked good so far this season, while Aston Villa is still finding their feet after losing Jack Grealish.

 

Thomas Tuchel has built a squad that will challenge for the Premier League title, and they will be there or thereabouts come the end of the season. The team they have in their ranks, and the squad depth they possess is unbelievable, and Tuchel looks to be the correct man to take Chelsea forward. Since he arrive in January, he’s been fantastic and he’s grown a talented team into a squad that is exciting to watch, and hard to beat. Not many teams will beat Chelsea this season, and the arrival of Romelu Lukaku was the icing on the cake for Chelsea. They’re looking to be the second team behind Man Utd to record 600 wins in the Premier League, and they’ll likely do that here in front of their own fans.

 

Aston Villa is surviving without Jack Grealish, after his departure to Man City, and they’ll be just fine. They’ve also improved their squad with players like Buendia, Leon Bailey and Danny Ings added to their ranks. Players that bring a lot of talent, and especially goals for Ings. It should be a good season for Villa who will be looking to improve on what they accomplished last season, and they’re capable of doing so, even without Grealish. They will have chances against Chelsea, but they have to be clinical if they are to get anything from the game.
