Premier League Week 22 Preview

As we approach gameweek 22 of the Premier League, we preview a few of the key fixtures coming up.

Manchester United v Everton

Manchester United take on Everton at 20:00 at Old Trafford on Saturday night. United go into this one on the back of an astonishing 9-0 win against Southampton on Tuesday. Aside from their fantastic win, the Red Devils have won 2 out of their last 5.

Everton go into the clash in decent form, with 3 wins in their last 5.

The most recent meeting between the two sides was in December in the EFL cup. Ole’s side came out of the fixture with a 2-0 win, subsequent late goals from Martial and Cavani.

James Rodriguez is a player to watch for the Toffee’s. The Columbian has 4 goals and 3 assists in the league so far and has the highest AMR in the Everton squad with a 7.30.

As mentioned many times before in these previews, Bruno Fernandes is the man to keep your eye on for Manchester United. The Portuguese creator is having one of the best seasons of his career and is one of the most in form players in the world at the moment. Bruno has 12 goals and 9 assists so far in the league and we expect that to be much higher come end of the season if he can stay injury free.

Wolverhampton Wanderers v Leicester City

Leicester City travel to the Molineux on Sunday to take on Wolves at 14:00. The Foxes go into the game in fantastic form, losing just once in their last nine and currently 3rd in the table.

Wolves are in meager form, winning once in their last 10, however Nuno’s men put an end to their winless run on Tuesday, securing a 2-1 win against Arsenal.

The last time these two sides met Leicester City came out with a 1-0 win. Jamie Vardy scored from the spot in the 15th minute which turned out to be the only goal of the tie.

Jamie Vardy is a player to watch for the foxes. Despite being 34 years of age, Vardy is still in the best form of his career, with 11 goals and 5 assists this season.

Pedro Neto has been a pivotal player for Wolves this season. The hot prospect has been playing of the left wing and has 4 goals and 4 assists so far this season. At just 20 years of age and showing such potential, Neto will be attracting interest from numerous top European clubs.

Liverpool v Manchester City

Liverpool host Manchester City at Anfield on Sunday evening at 16:30. The Reds are in one of the worst patches of form in the last few seasons at the moment, winning 2 in their last 8.

Manchester City are the complete opposite, with 9 consecutive wins in the Premier league.

The last meeting between the two sides ended in a stalemate. Salah converted a penalty for Liverpool in the 13th minute but Jesus equalised in the 31st minute. The points were shared as the game ended 1-1.

Mohammed Salah is in outstanding form for Liverpool. The Eqyptian ha 15 goals and 3 assists in league so far and is top scorer in the Premier League.

Ilkay Gundogan is a player to watch for Manchester City. The central midfielder is enjoying the best season of his City career, scoring 7 goals, assisting 1 and maintaining an AMR of 7.74 in 16 matches.
